Horncastle Town 1 Cranwell 1

A trip to the base RAF Cranwell saw a game which the Town boys dominated and wishing they had scored some of the opportunities they created Archie Offord, Harry Close, Henry Wilson and Riley Curzon all going close to open the scoring. Towns pressure paid off in the end a corner delivered by Offord caused the Cranwell defenders a problem, their clearance fell to Ollie Dean who smashed the loose ball into the net. The 2nd half was much the same as the 1st with the Town youngsters finding the Cranwell keeper in fine form. As the half was coming to an end Cranwell were awarded a penalty Ricky Marceniuk was judged to have handled the ball. Unfortunately for Town the keeper Kieran Johnson had to retrieve the ball out of the net .

Horncastle Town 2 Woodhall spa 1

Horncastle travelled to the home of Lincoln United to take on local rivals Woodhall Spa in the 2nd round of the Brian Smith Cup .The game was a close encounter with both teams playing some great football , it was Town who took the lead through Gabriel Walsh who making his debut rifled his shot past the keeper . Archie Offord added a well-deserved 2nd after the break. Woodhall pulled back a goal with 10 mins left but with some great defending Town hung on to go through to the next round.

Horncastle Town 5 Saxilby 1

Town took on Saxilby whose early pressure soon paid off Miles Kavanagh with a great strike to open the scoring. Harry Close added a 2nd from the penalty spot. Captain Ollie Dean grabbed the 3rd with a deflected shot .The 2nd half saw Saxilby pull a goal back before Daniel Robins beat the keeper. Miles scored a great goal as he curled the ball to the far corner.

Horncastle Town 5 Cranwell 0

In a game where Town started off the brighter, Harry Close had a penalty well saved by the keeper. Striker Daniel Robins came off the bench and he soon was on the score sheet. Henry Wilson caused a lot of problems making some very good runs, Henry bagged himself a great hat rick. Ollie Dean also got on the score sheet.

Sibsey 4 Horncastle 3

Town travelled to Freiston and soon found themselves a goal down within the opening 5 mins. Miles Kavanagh equalised for Town with a well-taken goal. A good run from Harry Close saw his shot deflected past the keeper to give Town the lead at half time. Sibsey's continued pressure saw them take the lead, again they scored past Kieran Johnson who was playing well in the Town goal trying to keep the score down. Ollie Dean pulled a goal back for Town but it wasn't going to be Towns day .

Horncastle 13 Newtoft 1

After the very long spell without a game due to the weather Town played host to Newtoft in the new year . The game saw the boys playing some great football and every attack looked likely that Town would score against a very unlucky Newtoft team. Henry Wilson having an outstanding game scoring 8, Daniel Robins got himself a brace, with Harry Close, Charlie Harrison and Archie Offord all scoring.

Horncastle 12 Old Leake 0

Town continued their winning streak with a fantastic team performance, with the lads taking their chances in front of goal. Also what was very pleasing they kept a clean sheet restricting the opposition to very few chances. Harry Close and Daniel Robins both scored a hat rick, Charlie Harrison and Henry Wilson got a couple each with Archie Offord and Miles Kavanagh also putting their chances away.

Horncastle 13 Metheringham 2

The third home game in a row saw Town having a very good game, lots of possession lots of goal scoring opportunities the boys are really playing well at the moment. Harry Close having a great game helped himself to 7 goals, Daniel Robins scored 2, Archie Offord ,Ollie Dean ,Henry Wilson all scored one each .Gabriel Walsh also scored his 1st league goal.

Horncastle 8 Caythorpe 0

With January coming to an end Town have had an excellent month this time seeing off Caythorpe. Archie Offord was delivering some great balls into the danger areas, Miles Kavanagh having his best game in the famous red and white stripes. In a game that saw captain Ollie Dean grab 2 goals, Henry Wilson also getting 2, Archie Offord , Harry Close both finding the back of the net . Town striker Riley Curzon also got himself on the score sheet. An unlucky Caythorpe defender deflected the ball into the net to complete the score.
