Credit to all the Town U15s who turned out this morning. Away at top of the league Wyberton and playing with just 10 men after a minute. The lads battled to the end and only 3 late goals made it a flattering 4-0 win for the homeside. Take pride in that performance, carry on like that and it will be an enjoyable last 7 games for you. Horncastle U15s 2 Saxilby U15s 4

Town Under 15s lost 4-2 to Saxilby this afternoon. The boys showed great spirit though after going 4-0 down in the first half to get themselves back in the game. They could have easily got a point at least playing some decent stuff in the second half and created plenty of chances. Well done all.

It was an agonising finish to the the game for Town U15s this afternoon at Grantham. Gonerby equalised with last kick of the game to make it 3-3.

Playing against a strong wind in the first half Horncastle conceded first but then equalised through Henry Lyddiatt.

In the second half Town took a 3-1 lead with goals from George Swift and a penalty from Elliott Beamer But two late goals including the equaliser with the last kick of the game meant that Horncastle had to share the points but continued a good run in the league where they are now five games unbeaten - keep up the good work boys.

Very committed, battling performance from Town U15s this afternoon but unfortunately they didn't get the result they deserved - going out the cup to Spa 2-0. Decent game between two decent sides - well done to all the boys. Lets use the old cliche and concentrate on the league!

Mayflower U15s 4 Horncastle U15s 4

Town Under 15s came away from Boston with a deserved point after an incredible game on Sunday.

Town took the lead midway through the first half with a superb long distance strike from centre back Jack Ingall.

Mayflower equalised with the last kick of the first half to set up an exciting second half.

The home side came out on fire and Town found themselves 4-1 down after just 10 minutes of the restart.

But the boys never gave in and with 10 minutes remaining scored a couple of well taken goals from Sam Johnson and George Swift.

Ben Fidling then scored a wonderful volleyed goal from 30 yards out only to be disallowed for a free kick seconds before.

But Horncastle battled away and in the last 30 seconds Henry Lydiatt and Jordan Boal chased down a through ball putting a Mayflower defender under pressure and fortunately for Town he sliced the ball past his own keeper to make the final score 4-4.

Horncastle Town U15s 6 Welton 4

Town opened the scoring through George Swift after just two minutes and this set the tone for the game as both sides tried to play open attacking football at all times.

Further goals from Sam Johnson, Elliott Beamer, Ben Fidling and George Swift with two from the visitors made it 5-2 at half time.

After the break Welton came back the stronger side and made a real game of it scoring two goals with keeper Alan Johnson preventing further goals with a couple of great saves.

As Welton pushed for the equaliser it was Horncastle who broke away and sealed the points when Elliott Beamer fired past the keeper to make the final score 6-4.

Horncastle Town U15s 5 Retford 0

Well done to all the boys for another great team performance with a 5-0 win over Retford.

This follows another magnificent result last week when Town won 2-1 away at Grantham side Gonerby.

All of the current squad deserve a pat on the back for the way they have dug in to get back to their best and winning ways following a difficult spell and a run of defeats.

Personally I don't want to single out any individual for praise but I would like to congratulate the whole of the current squad and hope they continue to get the results that all connected with Horncastle Town U15s deserve.

Horncastle Town U15s 0 Sleaford 3

Town U15s went down 3-0 at home to Sleaford this morning. It was a positive first half which saw Horncastle dominate and come close on several occasions. Henry Lyddiatt saw an effort crash off the bar but a mixture of bad luck and good goal keeping from the visiting keeper kept the score at 0-0.

Unfortunately a very poor second half performance with too many players not showing enough commitment followed, and the visitors easily took the points.

George Swift forced the Sleaford keeper into a good save but it was the visitors who took advantage of some hesitant and sloppy play from Town who must quickly get their act together if they are to compete in this league.

There were 4 or 5 players in the team who battled well but it takes a full team committed to win a match.
